Anna Warren Shumaker, the daughter of Linda Warren, has been diagnosed with cancer. Ava Howe is still in neuroscience Intensive care at Carolina Medical in Charlotte. She is in critical condition. Jeanette Chambers was in the hospital this week, but has now returned home.
Kid’s Pumpkin. The pumpkin in the sanctuary is a declaration that Christ is the Lord of the harvest, but it is also a children’s game. Each child is asked to guess the weight of the pumpkin and put their guess in the box in the narthex of the church. The winner gets the pumpkin.
The young people will have a Halloween party October 29, 3:00 p.m.
Robert Connolly and Carroll Robinson were elected Ruling Elders at the Congregational Meeting on September 24. They will be installed during the worship service next Sabbath, October 29.
We will have a covered dish lunch following Morning Worship next Sabbath, October 29, to celebrate Jubilee Birthday. A special offering will be taken to help pay the salaries of Pam Brunson and Judi Hodges who are missionaries to Pakistan and Berlin.
