Concerns of the Church
Call to Worship (Hebrews 4:14,16)
Leader: Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.
People: Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
A Prayer for Memorial Day
Prayer of Confession (in unison)
Almighty and most merciful Father; We have erred and strayed from Thy ways like lost sheep. We have followed too much the devices and desires of our own hearts. We have offended against Thy holy laws. We have left undone those things which we ought to have done; And we have done those things which we ought not to have done; And there is no health in us. But Thou, O Lord, have mercy upon us, miserable offenders. Spare Thou those, O God , who confess their faults. Restore Thou those who are penitent; According to thy promises declared unto mankind in Christ Jesus our Lord. And grant, O most merciful Father, for his sake; That we may hereafter live a godly, righteous, and sober life; To the glory of Thy holy name. Amen.
Declaration of Forgiveness (Romans 8:38-39)
Leader: For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature,
People: Shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

ANNOUNCEMENTS
Carl and Rae Bosson are happy to present their daughter Leah Jean Bosson for the sacrament of Baptism today. We pray God's blessing upon this child of the covenant.
A Note on Infant Baptism
To withhold baptism from infants implies that we cannot receive the gospel until we are capable of responding to it. This imposes a limitation upon God that parents do not accept in their own relationship with their children. Parents do not withhold their love from their children until their children can reciprocate. Thus, the baptism of a child symbolizes that God loved us before we loved him
Louise McDaniel is in Piedmont Hospital. Please remember all our sick and shut-ins in your prayers.
Next Wednesday, May 30, we will have a Covered Dish Supper to welcome in the summer. This will be a "bring and share." We will all bring our food and share with each other. Supper begins at 7:00 p.m.
Vacation Bible School is June 4-6. It begins at 9:00 a.m. If you know a child who would like to come, sign them up on the sheet in the narthex.
Outreach North America is a Synod program to build new churches in the United States. As you may remember several years ago, Synod began an ONA drive to raise money for this purpose. At that time, our church's portion of the drive was $4806.50. Since then, we have raised $3975.50. We still owe $831. We urge you in your giving to remember this program and finish our pledge.
I would like to thank the congregation for all their support, both financially and spiritually, during the last three and a half years while I studied for a doctoral degree at Erskine Theological Seminary. I appreciate those who came to the graduation exercise at Erskine last Sabbath. I also appreciate those who could not come but expressed their congratulations. I am most grateful to York Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church.
Sincerely
Dr. Tony Grant
