Call to Worship (Revelation 19:5)
Leader: Praise our God, all you his servants, and you that reverence him, both small and great.
People: Alleluia! For the Lord God almighty reigns.
Leader: Let us be glad and rejoice and give honor to him.
People: Blessed are they who are called to the worship of our King.
Opening Prayer
Prayer of Confession (in unison)
Righteous God, We have all sinned and fallen short of your glory. You would be justified in any judgment you decreed. But it is your nature always to have mercy. Therefore, we are bold enough to come to you, just as we are. We have no excuses and no plea but that Jesus' blood was shed for us and for our children. We confess before you and before these, our brothers and sisters, that we have not loved you with all our heart and strength. We have not loved our neighbors as ourselves. For Jesus' sake, grant us pardon and release, time for amendment of life and the sustaining presence of your Holy Spirit. This we pray in the name of Jesus, the only-begotten Son, our Savior and Lord. Amen.
Declaration of Forgiveness (Romans 8:38-39)
Leader: For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature,
People: Shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
