Call to Worship (Colossians 3:15-16)
Leader: And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
People: Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
Opening Prayer
Prayer of Confession (in unison)
I poor sinner confess to thee, O Almighty, eternal, merciful God and Father, that I have taken thy holy Name in vain, that I have often sworn falsely and lightly by the same, that I have not always professed it nor kept it holy as I ought; but even more, I have slandered it often and grossly with all my life, words, and deeds.
Wherefore I beseech thee, O heavenly Father, that, thou wouldst graciously forgive me these and all my sins. Keep and preserve me henceforth that I may walk only in thy way and live according to thy will; and all of this through Jesus Christ, thy dear Son, our Savior. Amen.
[by Martin Bucer}
Declaration of Forgiveness
Leader: Hear the Good News! Jesus himself bore our sins in his body on the cross, so that, free from sins, we might live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed. For you were going astray like sheep, but now you have returned to the shepherd and guardian of your souls. Praise the Lord!
People: The Lord's name be praised. Alleluia. Amen.

ANNOUNCEMENTS
"I will recount the gracious deeds of the Lord," wrote the prophet Isaiah (63:7). As we contemplate the great joy of the coming of Christ, may we remember that it is the most personal way God could express his love for us. He delivered his message of love through the loving Christ. Let us express our love with sincerity of heart and offer a warm welcome to all.
We will have Bible Study this Wednesday, January 2.
We will celebrate Holy Communion next Sabbath. Come, let us join together and partake of the sacrament.
