Call to Worship (I Timothy 3:16)
Leader: Christ was revealed in flesh, vindicated in spirit, seen by angels,
People: Proclaimed among Gentiles, believed in throughout the world, taken up in glory.
Opening Prayer
Prayer of Confession (in unison)
Dear Heavenly Father, I want to participate in the Lord's Supper with a pure heart. Therefore, I confess my sins before you. I am sorry for the times when I have not turned to you. I am sorry for letting sins or other things come between us. But most of all, I am sorry that Jesus had to suffer for me. But Father, I am thankful that Jesus loved me so much that he died for me. I am in awe at the price Jesus had to pay so that I can approach you. I praise him for what he has done, and I rejoice that he is my Lord and Savior, and that he will come again to claim me as his own. Amen.
Declaration of Forgiveness
Leader: The saying is sure and worthy of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners (I Timothy 1:15).
People: He himself bore our sins in his body on the cross, so that, free from sins, we might live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed (I Peter 2:24).
