Call to Worship (Psalm 96:1-2)
Leader: The Lord be with you.
People: And with you also.
Leader: O sing to the LORD a new song; sing to the LORD, all the earth.
People: Sing to the LORD, bless his name; tell of his salvation from day to day.
Opening Prayer
Prayer of Confession (in unison)
Merciful God,
we confess that we have sinned against you
in thought, word, and deed,
by what we have done, and by what we have left undone.
We have not loved you with our whole heart, mind, and strength.
We have not loved our neighbors as ourselves.
In your mercy, forgive what we have been,
help us amend what we are,
and direct what we shall be,
so that we may delight in your will and walk in your ways,
to the glory of your holy name.
This we pray in the name of the only-begotten Son, Jesus Christ Our Lord. Amen.
Declaration of Forgiveness
Leader: Hear the Good News! Jesus himself bore our sins in his body on the cross, so that, free from sins, we might live for righteousness.
People: By his wounds, we have been healed. For we were going astray like sheep, but now we have returned to the shepherd and guardian of our souls. Praise the Lord!
All: The Lord's name be praised. Alleluia. Amen.

Steve Bosson, Son of Judy LaRock, is undergoing surgery for wounds received in Iraq. Lily Ruth fell and broke her wrist. Margaret Alice Haun has been released from the hospital. Pam Smith is undergoing tests for chronic back pain. Toby Tally, brother of Gail Atchley, is seriously ill. Please remember all our sick and shut-ins in your prayers.
The WOC is planning to have a carnation arrangement in the sanctuary for Mother’s Day. The cost is $2 per carnation. If you would like to give a flower in honor or memory of someone, please give your money to Francis Nivens and put for whom it is given on the sheets in the narthex of the church.
