We have come to praise God and to seek refuge in the love of God. We are the children of God, and as brothers and sisters, we rejoice before our heavenly Father. Reach out to God and to one another for all are welcomed in our Father’s house.

 

This morning we are presenting Rayford N. King and William H. Bennett with certificates upon becoming Elder Emeritus.  The church deeply appreciates the many years of faithful service both of these men have given to the church of Jesus Christ.

 

There will be a called meeting of the congregation today following Morning Worship.  The purpose of this meeting is to elect two Ruling Elders.  The nominees are Larry Howe, Carroll Robinson, and Robert Connolly..

 

The York ARP Senior Citizens are going to the mountains to see the leaves on October 14.  The colors are expected to be especially good this year.  If you plan to go with us, please sign the sheet in the narthex of the church..

 

Wednesday Bible Study 10:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.

 

Next Sabbath is World-Wide Communion Sabbath.

 

Marsha and Kevin Smiley have a daughter.  Lydia Ashley was born on September 11, weighing 8 pounds 4 ounces.  Marshal and Sid Whitesides are the proud grandparents.  We pray God’s blessings on this new child of the covenant.
