Call to Worship (In Unison)

We are God’s people, touched by the Spirit  to …

  love more extravagantly,

  serve more creatively,

  encourage more lovingly,

  live more fully,

  pray more movingly,

  worship more deeply,

  give more generously.

Opening Prayer

Prayer of Confession (in unison)

Holy God, we live in the joy and wonder of your love.  However, we find it so easy to be in disagreements and disputes.  We take each other so much for granted.  So often we are tempted to cut the ropes of love that bind us together. Other times we take life far too much for granted.

Help us to learn how to love each other.  Restore within us the powerful cords of forgiveness and compassion.  Remind us of the joys and beauties of being alive in Christ. Amen.

Declaration of Forgiveness

Leader:  The mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting.  I declare to you, in the name of Jesus Christ; you are forgiven.

People:  May the God of mercy, who forgives us all our sins strengthen us in all goodness, and by the power of the Holy spirit keep us in eternal life.

The psalmist wrote, "O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land” (63:1).   We have come together today because we have that same longing for God.  Our prayer is that all of us will be renewed and lifted up.  Welcome!

Margie King had surgery last week.  Remember Margie and all our sick and shut-ins in your prayers.

The Deacons will meet next Sabbath at 7:00 p.m.
