Call to Worship (Isaiah 6:3)

People: And also with you.

Leader: Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts:

People: The whole earth is full of his glory.

A Prayer for Memorial Day

Prayer of Confession (in unison)

Almighty, eternal God and Father, we confess and acknowledge that we, alas, were conceived and born in sin, and are therefore inclined to all evil and slow to all good; that we transgress thy holy commandments without ceasing, and ever more corrupt ourselves.

But we are sorry for the same, and beseech thy grace and help. Wherefore have mercy upon us, most gracious and merciful God and Father, through thy Son our Lord Jesus Christ.

Grant to us and increase in us thy Holy Spirit, that we may recognize our sin and unrighteousness from the bottom of our hearts, attain true repentance and sorrow for them, die to them wholly, and please thee entirely by a new and godly life. Amen.

(Martin Bucer, 1539)

Declaration of Forgiveness (Romans 8:38-39)

Leader: For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature,

People: Shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

s Charge and Blessing

Greetings and welcome! This day is known as Trinity Sunday. Therefore we think of God’s revelation as Father, Son and Holy Spirit. As we glorify the Lord today, let us contemplate upon our Creator, our Savior, our ever-present Companion. Praise God from whom all blessings flow.

Tully and Elizabeth Gibson

Last Sabbath the Session received Tully and Elizabeth Gibson as communicant member of the church. We welcome Tully and Elizabeth to our fellowship. Let us sing the first verse of #473, "Blest Be the Tie That Binds."

We thank Patrick Brady for renovating the floor in front of the front door of the church.

Last Bible Study

Next Wednesday, May 29, is the last Bible Study for this session. Come and study Biblical prayer with us one last time next Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.
