Call to Worship  (I Timothy 3:16)

Leader: Christ was revealed in flesh, vindicated in spirit, seen by angels,

People: Proclaimed among Gentiles, believed in throughout the world, taken up in glory.

Opening Prayer

Prayer of Confession (in unison)

Dear Heavenly Father, I want to participate in the Lord's Supper with a pure heart.  Therefore, I confess my sins before you.  I'm sorry for the times when I haven't turned to you.  I'm sorry for letting sins or other things come between us.  But most of all, I'm sorry that Jesus had to suffer for me.  But Father, I am thankful that Jesus loved me so much that he died for me.  I am in awe at the price Jesus had to pay so that I can approach you.  I praise him for what he as done, and I rejoice that he is my Lord and Savior, and that he will come again to claim me as his own.  Amen.

Declaration of Forgiveness

Leader:  The saying is sure and worthy of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners (I Timothy 1:15).

People:  He himself bore our sins in his body on the cross, so that, free from sins, we might live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed (I Peter 2:24).

During Holy Week (April 14-18), the Western York County Christian Ministerial Association will have Community services every day at noon.  The services are at Good Shepherd Episcopal Church.  A light lunch is served after the service.  This year Tuesday is "OUR" day.  On Tuesday, the ARP Church and the Wesleyan Church are serving lunch.  Dr. Tony Grant is preaching that day.

We will have Maundy Thursday Communion on April 17 at 7:00 p.m.

Dorcus Pratt has returned to White Oak Nursing Home from the hospital.  Please keep Dorcus and all our sick and shut-ins in your prayers.

Rossie Ferguson Bennett, 88, died March 26, 2003.  The funeral was here at the church on Friday, March 28.  Rossie taught first grade in York County schools for most of her adult life.   She loved teaching and she loved the Lord.  Now she has gone to be with her lord.

Corey Sebastian Slaughter, 31, son of Roger Slaughter, grandson of Alice Cook, died March 26, 2003.  His wife, Mandy Chambers Slaughter, is the granddaughter of Jeanette Chambers. There is such grief in parting from a loved one.  At such times, all that we can do is to trust in God and cling to the promise of the resurrection.

The Session and Diaconate will have a joint meeting next Sabbath, April 13.

The WOC has decided not to have individual Easter lilies this year but to have one large arrangement.  If you would like to make a special offering in honor or memory of someone, please give your check to Frances Nivens and put for whom it is given on the sheet in the narthex.  We will have a special insert with this information in the bulletin on Easter Sunday.  This will go to the General Fund.
