Leader:  The Lord be with you.

People:  And with you also.

Leader:  We are witnesses to all that he did both in Judea and in Jerusalem.

People:  They put him to death by hanging him on a tree;

Leader:  But God raised him on the third day.

Opening Prayer

Proclamation of EASTER (in unison)

After the Sabbath, as the first day of the week was dawning, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to see the tomb.  And suddenly there was a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord, descending from heaven, came and rolled back the stone and sat on it.  His appearance was like lightning, and his clothing white as snow.  For fear of him, the guards shook and became like dead men.  But the angel said to the women, "Do not be afraid; I know that you are looking for Jesus who was crucified.  He is not here; for he has been raised, as he said. Come, see the place where he lay.  Then go quickly and tell his disciples, 'He has been raised from the dead, and indeed he is going ahead of you to Galilee; there you will see him.' This is my message for you."  So they left the tomb quickly with fear and great joy, and ran to tell his disciples.  Suddenly Jesus met them and said, "Greetings!" And they came to him, took hold of his feet, and worshiped him.  Then Jesus said to them, "Do not be afraid; go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee; there they will see me."

The Lord is risen! Hallelujah! Today we celebrate the foundation of our faith: the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is with exceeding joy that we welcome all who have come to recall Christ’s victory over sin and death. Rejoice!

“On the third day he arose from the dead, with the same body in which he suffered; with which also he ascended into heaven, and there sitteth at the right hand of his Father, making intercession; and shall return to judge people and angels at the end of the world.” [Westminster Confession of Faith (8,4)].

Dear members of York ARP Church,

Word cannot express our gratitude and appreciation for your thoughtfulness toward our family during a difficult time.  We were so surprised and overwhelmed when we received the generous donation from the Night Circle, the fellowship Class, the Deacon’s Fund, and the Congregation of the church.  Our expressions of Christian love and kindness is a reminder of God’s love and care for you.  Thank you all so much.

The Lord has used your gifts of money to bless and provide for us in some very practical and necessary wars.  As you know, our family has been temporarily displaced from our home because of mold damage as a result of Hurricane Wilma, which has severely affected the health of one of our children.  Thankfully, the lord has provided a much healthier home for us to rent while the mold repairs take place.  Although the rental house is furnished, it did not have enough beds for our family.  We were unable to take mattresses and other necessities from our house and had to make many purchases to set up housekeeping in the temporary house.  Your generous gift allowed us to replace two twin mattress sets and all of the bed and bath linens, including pillows and allergy free covers and other items needed by our family of seven.  We have since thrown away all of the mattresses and some other items in our home that were affected by airborne mold spores.  When we return to our permanent home, it will be nice and helpful having the new mattresses and other items we bought with your funds.  We appreciate all of your prayers during our son’s two hospitalizations.  God has answered many prayers.  May God bless you all for your kindness and willingness to be used by Him.  We pray his blessing upon York ARP and all the members.  In Christian love and appreciation,

The Berry Family

Robert, Myra, Caroline, Robbie, Joseph, Jackson, and David.
