Concerns of the Church

Call to Worship (John 14:6)

Leader: The Lord be with you.

People: And with you also.

Leader: Jesus saith unto him,

People: I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Opening Prayer

Prayer of Confession (In Unison)

Merciful God,

we confess that we have sinned against you

in thought, word, and deed,

by what we have done, and by what we have left undone.

We have not loved you with our whole heart and mind and strength.

We have not loved our neighbors as ourselves.

In your mercy, forgive what we have been,

help us amend what we are,

and direct what we shall be,

so that we may delight in your will and walk in your ways,

to the glory of your holy name. Amen

Declaration of Forgiveness

Leader: Hear the Good News! Jesus himself bore our sins in his body on the cross, so that, free from sins, we might live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed. For you were going astray like sheep, but now you have returned to the shepherd and guardian of your souls. Praise the Lord!

People: The Lord's name be praised. Alleluia. Amen.

It is a delight to gather before our Lord with reverence and praise. It is also a delight to welcome all that have come. Your presence adds to our joy.
