Opening Prayer

Prayer of Confession (in unison)

Righteous God,

You have crowned Jesus Christ as Lord of all.

We confess that we have not bowed before him.

We are slow to acknowledge his rule.  We are faithful to the wrong things.

We give allegiance to the powers of this world.  We fail to be governed by justice and love.

In your mercy, forgive us.Raise us to acclaim him as ruler of all, that we may be loyal ambassadors, Obeying the commands of our Lord Jesus Christ.

For it is in his name that, we pray. Amen.

Declaration of Forgiveness

Leader:  The mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting.  I declare to you, in the name of Jesus Christ; you are forgiven.

People:  May the God of mercy, who forgives us all our sins strengthen us in all goodness, and by the power of the Holy spirit keep us in eternal life.
